The Osprey vest was first introduced in the Ireland Conflict and was a vast improvement on earlier protective vests. The MK 1, the original Osprey, was developed and re-designed multiple times by the MOD to create the MK4. A lightweight, DDP Multi-Camo protective vest which is used across all modern British army forces.
Developed in June 2009 and finally introduced in April 2010 the Osprey MK4 had some serious modifications since its earlier release as the Mk1. Modifications have been made to the Velcro coverage allowing improved fastening and release security. This, Alongside the adjustable T-Bar fittings allow for the vest to be universally comfortable. Its fully modifiable too with Molle attachment loops. shoulder armour poppers and zips to change plates when required.

This is a fresh canvas for you to find, source and design your own vest. The average vest will come with soldier markings on the shoulder, usually in marker, expect blood type, surname or other markings on certain vests. With the natural high fit the vest allows for longer, bigger pouches or use of a battle belt in conjunction with it.
