These British Army MTP Combat Smocks
MTP ( Multi Terrain Pattern ) PCS ( Personal Clothing System )
are the current issue British Army uniform replacing Soldier 95 kit.
Designed for operations in Afghanistan and first used by personnel deployed on Operation Herrick in 2010. In 2011 MTP was issued more widely to the forces replacing all DPM including Woodland and Desert Combat Soldier 95 uniform.
Made from Polycotton these new improved windproof smocks feature
Wired windproof hood with button down fastening,
Two large bellows chest pockets with drainage holes and concealed Canadian style button fastenings plus one smaller pocket on outside,
Two large bellows hip pockets with drainage holes and concealed Canadian style button fastenings plus fleece-lined handwarmer pockets behind,
Two very large zipped upper inner pockets with half-mesh lining and inner pen pockets
Two bellows sleeve pockets with drainage holes and blanking plates for your TRF's
Full-length heavy duty zip with velcro storm flap covering,
Rank tab with Canadian style button fastening, Drawcord at waist and bottom, Half-mesh drop liner, Zipped ventilation openings at armpits,
Windproof cuffs with velcro adjustment and Reinforced panels on lower sections of sleeves.
UNDERSTANDING THE SIZING.
These smocks have the MOD size labels which is in cm, I have put these sizes as well as the size in inches along side them ( See the drop down menu )
Please note the sizes go in the order of Height | Chest | so for example a 170/104 is to fit someone who is 5'-5" to 5'-9" tall and 40" to 42" chest. Hope this helps.
These are sold as Used Grade 1 condition so will be slightly faded, possibly the odd small mark or slight pull or could just have some ones name on the label. Although these smock originally have a wire hood, a lot of soldiers don't like the wire and cut this out. You may or may not receive a smock with the wire removed.
